What benefits are available for those who migrate UK, Canada, Australia & Malaysia etc?

Muhammad Ismail,
Muhammad Ismail, you
Senior Immigration Consultant (From 1979) and 'Desjardins, Canada's Authorized Investor Immigrants' Advisor'
  1. Every thing has its good or bad aspects. Like the two sides of a coin. When convincing on an issue that affects our life, our family, our career and our future, both plus and minus points of a proposal must be weighed.

Immigrtaiton is a tough decision. Good for some, worse for some. Sure, it brings fulfillment of dreams and desires in well planned cases..... or it may destroy the planning and drown the ship in mid ocean..... It further has cultural shocks or reunion pleasures with family members settled abroad.

Certain immigration moves are of course chalked out duly analyzed. Particularly the Businessmen and Investors who have plenty of well earned money, know how and looking for greener pastures to multiply their holdings. Usually they have had the expertise of how to do the trick.

Prosperity is not the only benefit with prime importance. It may offer the applicant and his family an opportunity to enjoy amongst the best of quality of life in the world, in an almost pollution and corruption free environment with many free social facilities. And, security for family, a very important concern on most of the minds.

Moreover, the Investors and the Busienssmen with well estblished businesses in the third world countries wish to have a 2nd Passport for emergency exit should there occur a revolution or the people turn up violent in a lawlessness situation. They also eye the high quality of education available in developed countries for their beloved kids and the security these countries are proud of. Top quality medical treatment and a high standard of living with dependable modern infra structure are added benefits.

Besides, the money making opportunites are ample as the peaceful environment works for flouring investments very well. Opportunies are abundant. And the governments are generous in allowing enterprises to work smoothly..... It is a sort of a lottery received with planning for the successful immigrant. 40% of knowledgable Pakistani/Indians/Chinese and South Asians dream of leaving the dirty conditions in their slums and low paid incomes to move out....even if the life is a tough one, beginning from a scratch....... but taking a chance is too exciting!

The overall reviews tell us that Immigration to a common man does not carry much incentive as the very cost of migration with the whole family and arranging settlement funds is an issue itself. However, for the rich, it is a matter of 'extra luxury' as money can buy anything, even a highly placed nationality. No doubt the benefits are many but for the selected few. So, should we migrate......?

  2. Other more clear and pricise benefits generally for all concerned may include:
    • Arramge easy admission as a developed country resident to benefit from the subsidized but high-standard education at College and University levels, for self and children;
    • Use of lates financial/banking systems for expansion of his existing and worldwide business operations.
    • An opportunity of making the migrated country his business base, • Start a foreign business that may be managed by his children in future.
    * Can open a chance for his relatives at the home country assisting them for settlement in the selected country.
    * Awareness to international life styles, more matured decision making and easy interaction with various nationalities and cultural understandig. What do you say?

The Irritated Nations ....... Points to Ponder.....

A nation is a combination of all groups and factions of a society and community. United, they form a Nation irrespective of cast, creed, relegion, gender or background. Even huge differences in their individual ways of life, culture, ethnic views and past matter a little when belonging to the concept of a Nation comes in.

Unfortunately, this is not found, not in the case of some of the nations in trouble. .... The trouble may relate of uncertainity of faith, uncertainity of belonging to each other, uncertainity of interest of living togther, flourishing together and most of all, doubting the intentions of fellows around one and worse is when being tortured by the cruels few around them.

There are some key reasons for such a painful situation. When the law does not find its way or roadblocks are erected in its smooth flow, or when justice is either delayed or denied upfront..... when the selfish groups and their motives rule prime and cutting throats to survive or to luxury at the cost of others lives and property, the national bonds shatter badly. When this havoc happens, it is not the victims alone who suffer. Those who are at the helm of affairs and those who live in the glass houses do get stoned and badly hurt. It is natural. When the flood comes in rushing, it does not differentiate in good or bad, tall or small, it simply washes away anything that comes in its way.

In Pakistan, some parts of India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Mayanmar, Thailand, some iron curtain countries of eastern Europe, and some countries that are independent now but still under the last effects of the Colonial powers, the national spirit is evidently weak or made weak by the vested interest locally or by international players. The local warlords, relegious factions, decoits and blackmarketers, profiteers, land or drug mafias or power hungry groups who wish to keep the innocent people as puppets in their cruel clutches, the feel for a united national pride vanishes fast.

Those responsible to rectify this situation are the political leaders and the government concerned in the first impression to the beholder's eye. However, it is easy to blame only these two major characters. As indicated above, and the list is long, all responsible for creating the current situation of anarchy are to be brought to book.

A revolution is usually the answer to such lawlessness, as in Iran or Chilli or Cuba or some African countries, in the last few decades. The success of such revolutions is always questionable but the cure is always bitter to swallow. Many sacrifice just to uphold the identity of their nation or the land of their nation. Or, best still, bringing the difference of opinion to the table of discussion with sincereity and an intention to be practical.

For the national revival, insted of declaring that all that cannot be cured must be endured, it is advisable that all efforts must be undertaken by the intellecutual and elite educated and cultured class of the soicety concerned for the cure, whether successful or not. We do not work on a project with an advance guarantee of 100% success. Calculated risks are always taken and most of the time the task is accomplished as desired. Let us feel totally concerned, deeply involved and fully committed for the reconstruction of the National Thought and start reforming the ills around us without expecting a reward, appreciation or guaranteed result. Let us do it selflessly.

Believe me, our national unity and pride is a matter of life and death in the cycle of international exhistence. One famed philosopher of the past rightly said that 'I exhist because I think....' Very true. So, mere exhistance as a breathing person is almost like living a life of an animal who really is not capable of refind thinking as we human being do.

Steps must be taken, now.

So let us think, ponder, analyze, accept or national mistakes and follies and finally make up our minds as to how we can save our National from the irritational phase it is going through and what useful part each one of us can play to avoid the prevailent irritation, frustration and lawlessness. I suggest we work as a group, a selfless group of Reformers Of National Cause, raising our voice for elimination of all kinds of war lords and their fighting groups in the name of spereading Islam, for elimination of street crimes and decoits at home and businesses, fake politicians leading the nation to No-Destination, declarations of deception by persons in authority telling the poor people of no-poverty soon, no load-shedding soon, no-crimes soon, no disputes of national level soon and prosperity for all, soon. We must stand up as the time is running by. Naturally, we all have a heart that beats with the national pain. What can we do? when it is true.....AND IT IS FOR ME AND YOU, to think!

All those who have been bestowed with God-given faculties of mind, who can think and can think of how to implement these virteous objectives for the National Revival and Life and be able to look into the mirror with peace and pride. We all must die, soon and should leave some assets of respect and good work that those left behind should feel thankful, admire and pray for us. Any suggestions? (The National Lover) is what we should all be termed as.

What is really importnat in life?

I was wondering if I am given a chance to select a few options for a contented, happy life,
what would be my priorities:

1. Money ?
2. Fame ?
3. Youth ?
4. Long Age ?
5. Extra Ordinary Beauty?
6. Intellect of Big Thinkers
7. Power to rule and command
8. Insight in future
9. Great Health

Well, the list may still be continued....... but I suppose I have mentioned the most common 'in demand' wishes. But what it normally does not include is the most important of all wishes that few give weight.

It is the 'Faith' in God and believing that even if we are bestowed upon with all the 9 wishes listed above, live is to end ultimately. We know but we naievly do not acknowledge that we shall have to leave behind all our assets with our loved ones ( or not-loved ones, unfortunately if that is the case), so what do we carry with us when we depart........

The departure can be tragic or terrific.

Tragic for those who did not have a faith in life hereinafter. Faith that whether they like it or not, allow it or not, welcome it or not and accept it or not....... (who cares), finally the bell would ring and 'it is time to go'.

Terrific for those who are not so worldly-minded........ have a faith...... do good to all around them expecting a return up there, breathing so smoothly to their last....... and leave with a smile on their lips...... Nothing really to worry except the fear of being questioned for excesses done to others or one's own self. Accountability is a must in a faith to keep us well set on our devine path.

Almost all the heavenly religions teach us the best of their findings and teachings so far...... There have been famous Godly Messengers, Empeors, Kings, Pharos, big philosophers, thinkers, writers, poets, intellectuals, inventors, builders, solution providers and creaters of world fascinating formulas on stars, world creation, chemistry, physics, engineering..... but so what....... what is the big deal. They are calmly resting in their graves with after death purely temporary lip service/appreciations and credit to their worldly achievements off and on. These celebrities and big names are unable to collect any further reward and they could not carry any belongings with them..... If they lived a 'good' life as per the prevalent society rules, they have a chance to get dealt with softly...... otherwise, well, we can imagine the punishment for a culprit, no doubt.

The only thing that goes with us is what we 'saved' for our life after the present worldly life. If we do not believe in this, our life is a vehicle without a steering...... without a clear motive, without a calculated destination......... and you know, if we have no destination, then it does not matter where we are going........ every where we turn to it shall lead us to 'nowhere'. Life needs an obvious, well thought of purpose. If there was no purpose, the creation of this universe becomes a joke. All with good sense can realize the fact that even in this world, we cannot count a good deed equal to a bad deed. We do not regard a fine, virtoeus person as good as a notorious trouble maker with loads of sins and filth....... can we?

Nothing, not a particle of dust gets created at its own power...... there is a divine power creating and then fully maintaining the skiles, the earth, the sun, the moon, the weathers, the vegetation, the human beings and those created to serve the human beings....... nothing is created by us...... Our faith is truly founded on wise analysis that WHO does this all? It is not Mr. Bush or Mr. Obama Or Mr. Brown or the United Nations or Chief of Arms Staffs of powerful countries....... they cannot even creat a small flower or a fly..... hahaha. Have faith! That is the best thing to own....... compared to the short lived 9 or 90 wishes, some listed at the beginning of this article.
May God bless us all with what is really sustaining, always dependable and so much joyful...!!

The reasoning above leads us to ponder that the fact is it is only 'Faith in Lord' that gives us a sense of living a purposeful, cautious life hoping a good end here and a good welcome there. Let us not take it easy....... for ensuring an easy life later. Smile.......

Expectations in young and old age... true or false ?

Shakespeare wrote a poem describing 7 stages of a man's life....... all with its own characteristics.... It is interesting to watch how skillfully he narrates the various situations that a man must face, tactfully and gracefully. But I divide the life of a human being into two major distinctions...... when we are young and when we get old....... to me, rest are simply associated stages.... It is amazing how the two contain a contrast of the earth and the sky. Read ahead....

The Young Age Expectations....
Here the point to ponder is: Are we born as a young man? I am not kidding.... The way most of our younger class of population behaves is unfortunately as if they were not duly brought up, fed as an infant, tutored as a child, taken care of so many hurdles as a boy and advised continually as a young man by the loving and worried parents and elders.

When we do recognize that whatever we are as a young man today, is the blissful favour of our elders who took pains to make us we we are today. But unfortunately the young men expect too much from not only their elders in cash, kind and care, they see the world also from their colorful binocular...... too charming, too good to believe and too demanding on them at times so they hope all angels in the universe should unite to help them with their day dreaming and wishes. There is a true proverb that says, 'if wishes were the horses, beggars would be the riders'

The expectations versus attitude:
The attitude of passing thruogh the avenues of life is different for successful young men and the failures. The idle mind is the workshop of the devil. With unfounded but high hopes, the naive young men do not apply the tips and techniques to make their dreams come true. Infact their attitude can be more correctly termed as 'arrogant' and 'who cares' life style. They are not listening to their elders word of advice, they are not trusting their experience, they are not thankful to what has been done by the parents so far and they are not willing to do any service
to them as a token of their duty and gratefulness. Why should a young man expect anything from those around him if he is not worth of being expected by anyone? It would be an unfair distribution, isn't it?

Really Unfortunate but if it a true.....
Despite the fact that in most of the cases, the young men have little to offer to the world. The large number does not have worth while status or savings to be of any service to any one. and yet, their high-handedness is rightly seen as a work of someone with lost senses. They naively wish to be acknowledged for their lip-service and fake promises to deliver. They are dreaming of high status in society without working for it, they look forward to high profile jobs to embrace them without due qualifications and experience, they are hoping for a fortune overnight without a logic why such a treasure should come their way....... it is terrible to think how and when the young people of the above description shall mend their ways. Time is simply flying by.... If they do not realize their folly, their first impression will not be given a second chance. It never does.

Having expectations is the fuel for planning in future, the power to move us in adverse conditions, the only reason to live and breath .... only if these are put to practice, sincerely and devotedly, only to succeed with the precious blessings of our elders.

The Old age Expectations:
On the otherhand, the older group, say between 50+ to their Seventies or above, have innocent expectations. They are infact on the losers end of the fence...... their abilities fast diminishing, their youth vanishing at a constant pace, their vigor evaporating right in front of their eyes and their ability to come to grips with their deteriorating situation makes them the most pittiable group of society. They expect their young ones to serve them. They foolishly hope that the young ones who took the best part of their life and savings and attention, love and care, would now reciprocate. It is payment time, they believe. But to their utmost displeasure and disappointment very few 'good-natured' off springs would agree and royally spare some of their graciously precious time to 'listen' to their elders difficulties, sickness, disabilities and financial crises, which is so common in the lives of most of the old people. Alas, those who played with us when we were so small are helpless when they are 64.

We all agree that the harsh times are ahead for most of us..... then we shall be expecting good behavior and thankfulness and care and love but will we get it? Let us spread the word to the entire world that the old age expectations are truly profound, respectable and real while the young age attitude in most cases needs rectification immediately in our cultures. If we do serve our parents, our old relations, our weak and sick neighbors, our deprived countrymen, it shall not be a surprise that when we too become frigile, we shall be taken care of. Let us work on it..... from today!

Why People are Considering immigration abroad?

Surprisingly, the number of individuals considering migration to economically better
off countries is on the rise sharply. People tend to leave their ancestors land where they were brought up, educated, romanced, played, worked and cultivated relationships, are now abondoning their loved ones for seeking better prospect...... Is it the only truth?

Well, who does not want financial security, independence and some eggs in
the nest for the future? My concern lies where the main considerations ar the bad conditions at home countries from where the migration influx is coming to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Europeon destinations etc...... Most of the troubled places on this globe are on our finger tips and need not a mention.

Immigration due to bad conditions? What bad conditions? Although ranked high, I do not wish to emphasize too much importance on poverty or bad economy in under developed nations to indicate as a majore cause of huge quantity of people migrating abroad. In fact.... the most dreadful thing fiercely compelling appears to be the horrible law and order and political unstable situations making life miserable. I hold the people in power in the poor and badly managed countries. If they dont know how to dance, they blame the floor as upside down.

Added for past few years is the havoc of 'terrorism' that has plagued the normal life pattern both in cities and rural areal of countries like Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Mayanmar, Thailand, Phillipines and so on. An easy solution and readily available route to get out of this rut is 'immigration' to wealthy countries, no doubt. But again, is the eyed wealth and prosperity known in the highly developed countries waiting for the newly arriving immigrants? No way.

Just go through a number of web links, for instance, www.notcanada.com that not only inform us to our dismay the most disappointing scenarios the new comers come across.... the shattered dreams, the unemployment and the rejection faced, the incomparable qualifications, doubtful employers, ethnic problems, so it means that for the day dreamers, everything that shines is not necessarily gold!Instead, if one acts patiently and wisely he can always hope and manage to have a contented life as a poor or a person with moderate means in his own county. Times do change and shall change.

Interestingly, although I am an immigration consultant for last 2 decades and yet, to be honest with all, I do not encourage most of my clients to 'settle abroad' unless there are good reasons of his suitability, destination or choice of where he is being advised for, calculated ease of settlement worked out professionally, family connections, job probabilites or business opportunities. Lots of homework needs to have been done, indeed. So, opting for immigration is really not everybody's cup of tea. To my vision, it has something to do with wisdom, farsight and a hint of philosophical evaluation of one's objectives defined very clearly and searched throughly.

True that life in frightening, unsafe surroundings in one's own country is a terrible thing to bear. These problem spots are rich in human resources and untapped talent. Migration to greener pastures seems to them an attractive and the only option. However, it certainly should not be something like 'Out of fire, into the frying pan.' To a lucky few, migration may turn into like 'digging gold' but most of the ventureres are not that lucky. In fact a large number ends up like a taxi driver, a door man, a sales rep or restaurant worker although at home they held positions of prestige.

My point is: does the migration option really leads to the coveted 'paradise on earth'? I don't think. The rich countries do not really wish to part with their wealth with the labour class or skilled professionals that they 'import' after clever selection and charging money to allow them to come in with huge personal 'settlement funds'. They are in fact needy of a working class with skills that the rich countries residents do not wish to perform. Seeing no alternative to the problems of people forced to migrate, the underdeveloped countries face a tragic impact. Not only the obvious brain-drain, the families roots are broken, distances creat bitter psychological problems, families starving for their dear ones for years, not able to afford to get to their parent countries frequently and of course, the cultural shock and a collission of civilizations in a strange country that awaits them.

The conclusion and food for thought most alarmingly shall be: Is it not the time for the governments of under-developed and poor countries rich in human power to immidiately work out strategies for the betterment of the poor class and pay devotedly fast attention to improvement of law and order quality, particularly elimination of fast increasing street crimes in big cities like Bombay, Karachi, Dehli, Kabul, Lahore, Dhaka, and many more? If the quality of life improves, so shall the wages, businesses, industries, factories, infrastructures and money making opportunities and one can enjoy his life with his loved ones in the presence of his close relatives, friends, places, memories and in familiar cultures. No one to blame then...... Why not think cautiously........ watch before you leap. Stay until you are sure and then, if successful, it is all your smile. SMILE.
